What is PTFE Lined Pipe?

PTFE-lined piping has a sturdy, chemically inert layer developed to guard pipe and equipment from aggressive chemical corrosion and high temperature. For being exceptionally chemically resistant, PTFE proves to be great for conveying caustic, aggressive materials such as acids, bases and solvents. Withstand working temperatures as high as 260°C (500°F) PTFE-lined tubing delivers a smooth, non-stick coating that ensures a more efficient flow. Constructed from high-performance polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin and frequently supported by stainless steel reinforcement PTFE lining provides long-term, consistent performance within tough industrial conditions.

Description: All three outlets (two sides and the branch) of the tee have the same diameter.

Purpose: Used when the flow needs to be split or combined without changing pipe sizes.

Application: Commonly used in plumbing, heating, and gas systems where uniform pipe sizes are required.

Example: A tee with 2-inch diameter outlets on all three sides.

Lining Material: PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) or PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy Resin)

Outer Pipe Material: Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel

Temperature Range (PTFE): -196°C to 150°C (up to 200°C short-term)

Temperature Range (PFA): -196°C to 180°C (up to 230°C short-term)

Working Pressure: ≤ 16 bar (approx. 1.6 MPa), adjustable depending on structure and temperature

Connection Type: ANSI / ASME / DIN flanged connection

Surface Property: Smooth, anti-adhesion, resistant to scaling and deposits

Applicable Media: Strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, high-purity chemicals
